“Hi Charmaine, Thank you for all you have done! We want you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work and the effort you put into decorating Alverstoke on the 27/9/14. You went above and beyond! We couldn’t have dreamed of more! Thank you again for all you’ve done over the months, we will treasure the memories forever! Kindest regards Mel, Joel & Charlotte xxx”
This lovely local couple from Australind tied the knot at Alverstoke in Brunswick, a stunning historical property just down the road from us here at FVE. The weather on the morning of the day was truly horrible – windy and rainy! We took a chance and set up outside the old schoolroom, where Mel had always wanted her ceremony…as we were setting up, it was still a bit rainy and still very windy (you can see the bunting on the schoolroom verandah getting blown around!) but luckily the sun came out for the ceremony itself.
We supplied some white folding Gladiator chairs, a signing table, the decorative bunting and blackboard. Mel supplied us with some white flowers which we used to create some rustic posies in jars for the ceremony aisle chairs, and to hang in the olive tree above the signing table. Flower jars – prepped the night before, ready to go for the next day!
It was so windy that the bride’s photo-frame kept blowing off the signing table – so we had to pop it in one of the drawers and fill around it with some baby’s breath to keep it there.
