So even with wedding season winding up around May and June, we still managed to keep pretty busy. We had furniture heading off to Balingup, Stonebarn in Pemberton and Old Broadwater Farm in the first half of May as well as the Sanctuary Wedding Expo in Bunbury. We also had a wedding reception to set up at Bunkers Beach Café in Dunsborough.
This was followed by a weekend in Perth at First Comes Love Wedding Fair where I really got into styling my stall up with our country kind of vintage rustic look that we do.
I also kept really busy in May and June taking a few flower design courses – I really love working with flowers. No plans to become a qualified florist but it was great to learn some new skills and create some beautiful designs. I kind of did this instead of going on a holiday this year and it was a good compromise!
We also had a couple of weddings in June, the first was at the Nannup Recreation Centre where we provided Tiffany chairs to help lift the quite dry space into a wedding kind of look.
I also spent a couple of nights in Pemberton setting up a beautiful wedding at Stonebarn. We had a full day on the Friday doing the lighting and ceiling draping in the gazebo, and setting up the furniture. Saturday was spent setting up the ceremony and setting tables with final touches. Sunday was a four hour pack-down! SO worth it – it looked incredible. The bride left a lot of the styling and details decisions up to me which was so refreshing and meant they ended up with something really special and a bit different too. The soft green-gray table cloths with the white Tiffany chairs perfectly nailed the brief of simple, elegant with a touch of rustic.
