We had a wonderful weekend back in September setting up this marquee wedding in Preston (just outside of Collie). The wedding took place on a private property/farm owned by the grooms parents.
Lots of friends and family pulled together to get everything organised – remember that at private property weddings there are no staff so you have to think of everything – rubbish collection, keeping the drinks cool, toilets – all the practical stuff plus all the pretty stuff!
For this wedding we supplied the tables, chairs (our white Gladiator chairs), linen, table runners and glassware for the tables – the bride supplied candles and the favours (little jars of smarties). We arrived early on the Saturday morning to set up the tables and chairs and set the tables, taking us around four hours to get everything looking perfect.
Some beautiful colourful spring blooms from Scentiment Flowers in mismatched bottles scattered down the table finished off the look perfectly. For this wedding we made the table runners ourselves too. Blue and brown burlap. The blue was a great idea and really added to the spring colour look the bride was going for – the bridesmaids gowns were royal blue too.
For the ceremony, Kyle made a gorgeous rustic arbour which was decorated on the day with fresh flowers again by Scentiment Flowers. Kyle’s dad made the ceremony seats out of big tree trunks – so heavy that he needed the tractor to get them into place!
All in all a really beautiful day, stunning weather, and a lovely bride & groom and helpful family & friends – it was a pleasure to be a part of this wedding!
