Exciting times in July and August! We had a few weddings and events to keep us going but we also bought heaps of gorgeous new furniture AND moved into a new warehouse/showroom/office space.

We got lots of bar, lounge and cocktail furniture in a few different styles to reflect a growing trend towards more casual styles of weddings.

In terms of weddings in July – just the one – a beautiful winter wedding at Foragers Field Kitchen in Pemberton where it rained and hailed all weekend -but the guests were warm and dry in a marquee for the ceremony and in the restaurant for the reception. No photos unfortunately because I was busy dodging the mud and puddles! But here’s one of the venue …

I also had a Christmas in July event at my house to debut some new furniture and also I was bored … when you usually do five or ten events every weekend in summer and then nothing’s happening in winter you have to keep busy somehow!

In mid August we had a wedding at Old Broadwater Farm with our rustic wood trestle tables which just looked amazing in their marquee, with the wood really cutting through the whiteness of the space.

We also kept busy in August at two wedding expos – the first the Ferguson Valley Wedding Tour at the Wellington Forest Cottages where we again got to show off our new furniture and also got some great candid shots of me setting up!

And the ceremony set up … you don’t need to do much in such a beautiful location, best to keep it simple.

Then there was the Coast to Country Weddings Southwest Wedding Fair at Abbey Beach Resort in Busselton. We had quite a stripped back and simple display compared to some other exhibitors but still got lots of positive feedback! Our new Bentwood chairs made an appearance which was nice.

At the end of August we had the Old Broadwater Farm Busselton Winter Wedding Giveaway where we supplied linen (charcoal table runners) and decorations as well as extra festoon lighting to the lovely Tara and Cliff for their special day.
